How to Get Corrupted Kitsune in Grow a Garden
The Corrupted Kitsune is a prismatic pet introduced in the second part of the Zen Event. It can be obtained from the Kitsune Chest or the Exotic Kitsune Chest. This mystical fox represents a darker, corrupted version of the original Kitsune, harnessing the power of cursed energy.
Appearance
The Corrupted Kitsune features an inverted color palette compared to the regular Kitsune, except for its red parts, which are changed to blue.
It has nine tails, black paws and body, a white nose, and blue stripes, legs, and tail tips. Its face bears a mask-like marking, similar to the Raccoon and Kitsune pets.
The Corrupted Kitsune remains one of the most mysterious and powerful pets in Grow a Garden. Its unique abilities and striking design make it a prized addition to any player’s collection. Whether you’re exploring the Zen Event, hunting for rare mutations, or expanding your pet roster, this nine-tailed fox is a must-have companion. If you’re looking to strengthen your team or complete your collection, don’t forget to buy Grow a Garden pets and experience the full magic of the game’s evolving world.
Trait and Abilities
Every 20 minutes and 53 seconds, the Corrupted Kitsune launches cursed energy at nine different fruits.
Each fruit has about a 20% chance to mutate with Corrupt Chakra, and a very rare chance to mutate with Corrupt Foxfire Chakra.
- Corrupt Chakra provides a 15× multiplier.
- Corrupt Foxfire Chakra provides a 90× multiplier.
As the pet ages, mutation chances increase and cooldown times decrease.
When combined with the Kitsune’s Chakra or Foxfire Chakra, they can create Harmonized Chakra and Harmonized Foxfire Chakra with multipliers of 35× and 190× respectively.
Unlike the normal Kitsune, the Corrupted Kitsune does not duplicate fruits—it only applies the Corrupt Chakra mutation to crops in the player’s plot.

How to Get the Corrupted Kitsune
To obtain the Corrupted Kitsune, players must first earn a Kitsune Chest.
You can do this by submitting Tranquil Plants and Corrupt Plants to the Kitsune NPC located at the center of the island.
On each side of the Kitsune NPC are two circular gauges:
- One fills up when you donate Tranquil Plants.
- The other fills up with Corrupt Plants.
Once both gauges are full, they reset, and you’ll receive a Kitsune Chest as a reward.
Open the chest from your inventory, and you’ll have a 1% chance to obtain the Corrupted Kitsune.
Although this chance is quite low, it’s still higher than the 0.08% chance of obtaining the regular Kitsune from the Zen Egg.
What Does the Corrupted Kitsune Do?
The Corrupted Kitsune periodically releases cursed energy that affects nearby fruits. Each affected fruit has:
- A 20% chance to mutate into Corrupt Chakra.
- A rare chance to mutate into Corrupt Foxfire Chakra.
When used alongside the regular Kitsune, the Corrupted Kitsune’s abilities can combine to produce powerful Harmonized and Ascended Chakra mutations, significantly boosting your crop multipliers.
