As the MapleStory V updates are on their way, Maplestory V official asked our gamers to design a chair for Maplestory V. The contest runs to December 30th, 2016 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Here are some details of the contest:

MapleStory: New 5th Job Skills Will Be Introduced A Week Later

Are you ready to take your character into the next level?

MapleStory, the free-to-play, 2D, side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game, has released the much-anticipated 5th Job Advancement that will entirely change the gameplay of MapleStory. The patch will be available for download on 16 November 2016 and it will be live on 23 November 2016.

The 5th Job Advancement promises to break down boundaries, bridge new connections and boldly change the way players experience the game. New 5th Job skills will be introduced to all 39 characters a week later on 23 November, opening up endless play possibilities, with countless permutations and combinations for players to create the perfect game strategy.

For the very first time in the game’s history, the damage cap limit will be removed. In addition, the levelling curve from level 60 to level 200 has also been altered. This means that the experience that players require for levelling up will be significantly reduced, allowing them to quickly level up to gain special skills and strength, and making it easier to reach the 200th level required to unlock the 5th Job.

Commenting on the new patch, Quang, Managing Director at Asiasoft, one of the biggest publishers of MapleStory SEA, says, “We are extremely excited to roll out the 5th Job Advancement which players have been waiting for, for almost ten years. With a new boss, Lucid, a new continent, Arcane River, a new area, Chew Chew Island, and various revamps, the game-changing patch is definitely worth the wait. The new patch demonstrates MapleStory’s commitment to creating unique gameplay experience for every player.”

MapleStory 2: West Version Will Be Launched Soon

Nexon shared on its Web site the opening for the vacancy of ‘Product Manager’ for MapleStory 2 for the El Segundo office in California. Generally when game producers open job openings, it is an important indication that a new title will be produced or will also be developed elsewhere to facilitate their launch in the region. Does it means the western release is coming?

As the sequel to the widely popular MapleStory, Maplestory 2 takes place in the same game world, but with plenty of added features and a whole new dimension. MapleStory 2 was released in South Korea on July 7th, 2015. The game is doing fine in South Korea while it’s one of the anticipated new MMOs in China (published by Tencent Games).

Nexon posted a job opening for a “Production Manager – MapleStory 2” for the company’s office in El Segunda, California. This is the first bit of news we’ve seen that leads us to believe that MapleStory 2 may finally be coming to the West. The game never reached blockbuster status in South Korea and has been missing in recent Nexon investor presentations, but seeing this job posting means the company is working towards releasing the game in the West.

The job description states that the future Project Manager will be “responsible for the tactical publishing and live cycle of one or more game titles for Nexon America. This role ensures that the assigned game(s) are delivered on time and within budget.” This is the first step towards the release of MapleStory 2 in the West and it will take some time until we will get some details about the game’s release schedule.

There’s no word on a release date just yet though. All we know is that Nexon is looking to hire a production manager for the game in their SoCal office. Nexon hasn’t even made a formal announcement about this, so the Western launch could still be many months or even a year away.

As gamers who has played the original MapleStory, this news is quite exciting. MapleStory 2 was missing from Nexon’s GSTAR 2016 lineup and wasn’t there last year either. MapleStory 2 has not yet become popular in South Korea as its predecessor and by the latest news, the title is losing investors. So seeing the game finally coming to the West is definitely a surprise.

With this opening of the vacancy in Nexon International, everything leads to believe that the game will come to the West in a not so close future.

Turkeys are starting to appear near Henesys, Mu Lung, Leafre, and other major towns! If you hunt these birds, you can find all sorts of fun items. To begin, accept the ‘Thanksgiving’ quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen. Then start hunting! These turkeys have been stuffed with lots of great rewards. Dress up in the spirit of the season with a Pilgrim Hat or Maplehontas equip. Restore needed HP and MP with delicious Thanksgiving food including Roasted Turkey, Cranberry Sauce, and Corn. You may even get your hands on a Roasted Relaxer Chair, a Special Potential Scroll, or a Special Bonus Potential Scroll!

Food Fighter

Young magician Bianca has accidentally turned the Thanksgiving dinner into living monsters! Join the Food Fight to help her catch the delicious creatures. To begin, accept the ‘[Food Fight] Revolting Food’ quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen. You can enter the Food Fight Hall up to three times a day. Once inside, you have twenty minutes to complete all thirty stages, and the tasty monsters get tougher the further you go! The rewards differ depending on how many stages you clear. See how far you can get and earn Drop Coupons and useful buffs!

Turkey Egg Hunt

NPC Cody wants you to find him some Turkey Eggs! Luckily, there are Turkeys appearing in certain locations in Maple World including Henesys, Magatia, Leafre and more. Turkeys drop three different colors of eggs depending on your level range. Talk to Cody to see what kind of Turkey Egg he expects you to find. Maplestory 2 Prediction: The US Version Release Date

It’s still mystery either MapleStory 2 release for North America, Europe and other Global countries. Definitely, Maplestory 2 gonna release for the western countries but till no release date confirm. Maplestory 2 is the upcoming 3D sequel to Nexon’s hugely successful 2D MMO, Maplestory. Set before the original, Maplestory 2 offers players a fresh take on an old favorite with a cute, blocky graphic style that manages to capture some of the original MMO’s charm, while switching between isometric and the classic 2D view.

Using this new art-style, Maplestory 2 gives players the opportunity to explore a multitude of colorful environments, with plenty of chances to discover hidden areas and special events. Environemnts are somewhat destructible, with players able to cut down trees and knock over blocks. They may even use objects from the environment in combat. Speaking of combat, Maplestory 2 retains the original’s fast paced gameplay, with characters chaining together multiple abilities for great effect. Boss battles take up large areas of a map, which often times result in the boss destroying huge portions of their blocky surroundings.

Outside of combat, players can participate in a myriad of mini-games, including some built by other players. Using the in-game editor, players can even build special dungeons complete with a variety of monsters, traps, and triggered events to overcome.

Maplestory 2 features non-instanced housing, with players able to build their own houses block by block, while decorating it’s interior with special items. These items can range from chests to keep your extra gear, to mannequins which you can dress up with your favorite costume sets. Doing so gives players the ability to swap between these costumes while on the go.

Nexon release Maplestory 2 for Korea in July 7th of 2015 which has already been 1 year now. Usually the time gap between Korea and United States release date is around 6 months to 1 year. After carefully looking back at all those previous release date, we can conclude that Nexon will probably launch Maplestory 2 for US sometime in 2016 and in the same month of November.

Sooner or later, it will always appears. After all, most of the western players are waiting since first look of Maplestory 2 Gameplay.

Maplestory Main Changes: World Merge And Service Migration

Hours ago, Maplestory Official released a Maple Memo, and we will share the mainly content below.

On November 10th, Nexon America will begin to service our European MapleStory players in addition to our existing players around the world. This migration brings a lot of benefits to all of our players and we want to make sure you understand what is happening and why.

For current Global MapleStory players, you will now have the choice to create new characters on the Europe world, Luna. These new worlds are located in our European datacenter so depending on your location, you may find your connection to these servers better or worse than the current North America servers. You will also be able to interact with a new population of players migrating from the European MapleStory service.

There’s quite a few exciting changes for European players migrating over. Here are main changes to this migration:

Immediately following the migration, you will be prompted to download the full v177 client that will provide you access to all the latest GMS content, including Heroes of Maple, Mushroom Shrine Tales, and the recently released Strange Stories content. With this migration, European players will now experience all of the current and future events occurring in Global MapleStory. Please make sure to accept both the service migration and the MapleStory game migration in order to begin playing on November 10th. If you miss your chance now or wait until after November 9th to migrate, you’ll have to wait for an upcoming maintenance in order to access the MapleStory world in Europe.

Next, the existing Demethos and Kradia worlds in Europe MapleStory will merge into one world, Luna. Previously, we planned to migrate the two worlds over, so we asked our European players from each server to vote for their new world names. But after further discussion internally, we decided to combine the two worlds to provide our Europe MapleStory players with a larger population to play with immediately following the migration. Out of all the votes between the two servers, the name Luna received the most.

In addition, other changes as a result of the world merge and service migration will shared to another page. Stay tuned!
